Drake: ‘Stevie Wonder Is on ‘Take Care”

Stevie Wonder will appear on Drake’s next album, “Take Care,” the rapper revealed exclusively to MuchMusic.

Speaking with RapCity host T-Rexxx after his headlining OVO (October’s Very Own) Festival, which featured appearances by Wonder, as well as Lil Wayne, Nas, J. Cole, Rick Ross, and The Weeknd, Drake explained how he managed to book the 61-year-old musical legend for his show.

“Stevie Wonder is a very close friend of mine. I’m honored to call him a friend, someone who embraced me very early in this music business,” he said. “This is an exclusive right here, because it’s MuchMusic, and we’re Canadian: Stevie Wonder is actually on ‘Take Care.’”

According to Drake, Wonder has been highly involved in the making of his new album.

“He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me, listened to my music, told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing, and not only that but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience.”

Given their close relationship, securing the 22-Grammy-Award-winning artist for OVO Fest was easy.

“So I hit him, asked him to come by, and with no hesitation he hit me back like “I will be there.” Not only that, but he was supposed to do two songs and he did like six,” Drake said. “It was incredible.”

“Take Care,” the follow up to his 2010 debut, “Thank Me Later,” is set for release on October 24.

I've been waiting on this video to premiere all summer and it finally did yesterday. And honestly, I think it was worth the wait. When I first heard the song, I was like "WTF! This is stupid." Seriously. I didn't like it one bit. But I kept it on replay because I wanted to like it. I wanted it to grow on me and after the 10th time listening to it, I was obsessed with it. After listening to his mixtapes, I think Diggy is probably one of the best rappers out right now. I don't care if he's 16 or 40, he can rap. Sure, he's no Kanye or Jay Z, but in due time I'm sure he'll be one of the biggest rappers ever. You gotta start somewhere, right? Back to the video, when I first saw it on 106 & Park I was completely speechless. I didn't know what to think at first. I didn't have an opinion on it at all. Then about and hour later I watched it on YouTube and I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT! Ommmggggg! This has to be the hottest video of the summer! It fits the song really well and I honestly don't know what else to say about it besides it's amazing. It deserves to be #1 on 106 & Park. Hell, it deserves a Grammy. I honestly didn't think this video would be this good. I was definitely surprised. All I can say is, if you don't like Diggy or the video, you're fuckin' dumb.

My First Day Of School

Ok, so this is me blogging about my first day of high school. If you don't wanna read it, you don't have to.

1st&2nd period (Algebra 1) This class will probably end up being my favorite class. I have a few friends in there, crazy ones to be exact. And the teacher is pretty and nice.

3rd period (P.E./Sports) I like this class, but I hate this P.E. so I don't know about this one. I do have some friends in there and some really cool guys are there. The coach seems nice and its okay.

4th period (World History) I hate this class. I do have some friends and some really nice people are in there, but its alllloooottt of people in there. So I hate it.

5th period (Biology) I do like this class. I think this is the class where most of my friends are. The teacher is kinda boring, but its alright.

Lunch - Best time of the day.

6th period (Spanish) - This class is weird. We are being taught Spanish by a moniter. How weird???

7th period (Art) - The teacher is old and boring. I have 3 friends in that class. Its a pretty small class.

8th period (English) - Crazzzy story. So I did actually walk in the wrong class while going to this class. But thats not the story. So it was like 5-10 minutes after the tardy bell had rang and I was sooo happy because I went all day without having a class with my ex and then he comes in saying that he was sleep in the class that I walked in and now he's in my English class. Crazzzyyy. I went all day thinking I didn't have a class with him, just lunch and he walks in after the tardy bell and I think I'm all clear. That's what I get lol.

Before I review anything, I just wanna say I love Demi Lovato and I think she's the best singer ever. She deserves way more than Disney and this album shows it. She's the best singer Disney has got and I'm soooo proud of her! This album is amazing, every word of it! Now on to the review...

1. Here We Go Again - I find myself listening to this song every night before I go to bed. Great choice as a first single. Demi's voice towards the end = amazing.

2. Solo - One of my favorites off the album. I love how the chours is so well written, and the whole song. I think if another singer sung this song, it would sound like trash. It suites Demi's voice perfectly.

3. U Got Nothin On Me - Another one of my favorites. I like the whole concept of the song.

4. Falling Over Me - OMG! If you only check out a few songs off the album, check out this song. I love it!

5. Quiet - I love how it starts out slow, then brings up the rocker in Demi. Another one of my favorites.

6. Catch Me - This song kinda reminds me of Don't Forget, which was my favorite song off that album. Its so well written and perfect for Demi. I dare someone else to cover that song. No one can pull it off but her.

7. Every Time You Lie - I'M NOT GONNA LIE TO YOU, THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG OFF THE ALBUM, MY FAVORITE SONG IN THE WORLD. This song alone proves that Demi Lovato is the best singer ever. If you only want to get one song off the album, get this. It's beyond amazing. Demi's voice = perfect.

8. Got Dynamite - Another favorite, my 2nd favorite. I am in love with Demi's voice in this song!

9. Stop the World - I think this is the best written song off the album. It's perfect.

10. World of Chances - I find myself listening to this song more and more and more now. I love it. Another favorite.

11. Remember December - THIS SONG SHOULD BE THE SECOND SINGLE. 'Nuff said.

12. Everything You're Not - Another well written song. I think I can relate to this song than any other off the album.

13. Gift of a Friend - Another song where Demi's voice is OMG! She blows me away at the chours.

14. So Far So Great - The best theme song ever. I love it.

Bottom line, the album rocks. Every song, every word of it. Go. Get. It. It's only $10 dollars on iTunes so you come out cheaper buy the whole album then buying like 8 songs. Amazing Demi, simply an amazing album.

Wow, it's been so long! I've decided to bring the blog back up now. I have some things going on in my life that I need a distraction. So the blog will be back up soon (maybe today?) and I'm really excited to start it up again!

So what have I been doing since I left the blog? Well, I celebrated my birthday on March 28th! I'm finally 14! I've been off the computer for a while, I really don't need a reason to get on as much as I used to do. I graduate from the 8th grade Friday and school will be over on May 29th! I passed my reading TAKS test with commended performance-- I only missed one! And I passed my math TAKS only missing 6!
So basically, I'm officially a FRESHMAN!

So I will be back soon! Keep an eye out for that! :)

The title says it all. Yes, I'm quitting Ell-Oh-Vee-Ee Music. I realize that I have a life outside of this box and I shouldn't spend hours out of my day on this computer. I'm not going to delete the blog, I'm just not going to post anymore. I have alot of stuff going on and I need to be more focused on school then posting on this blog. I know I don't post a lot, but it's not about that. It's about all the hours I spend on this computer. When I wake up, I cut on this computer, it is the last thing I do before I go to sleep. I'm still going to be on it, just not a lot like I am now. I do have a life other than this computer and it's time for me to live it. I'm 13 for God's sake (14 on March 28th!!!!). I should be enjoying life with family and friends and not on this computer all the time. Today was the first day in months, almost a year, that I cut the computer off to watch TV. I have been watching TV for most of this day. My spring break has been this computer and I'm tired of living my life on a computer. I'm young and should be living my life like a normal teenager. I'm still going to check in and maybe in the future I'll decide I want the blog back. But for right now, I don't wanna do this blog anymore.

Janessa here, so I've been thinking alot lately. I really haven't had the time and the engery after the loss of my grandpa to really update this blog. And looking back, I never really updated E-O-V-E Music only when I felt like it. But I PROMISE TO UPDATE THIS BLOG MORE OFTEN NOW!
But to do that, I need to know what my vistors want to see on Ell-Oh-Vee-Ee Music. I will take every idea, suggestion, ect. into consideration. Any idea will be apperacited.
I don't mean like "oh can you post the new Chris Brown songs?". I mean like a general thing like movies, TV shows, contests, my take on new artists, anything like that. I have some really exciting new for all you Day26 fans visiting Ell-Oh-Vee-Ee Music. Day26's new album is scheduled for a March 31 release date! Which is exciting for me because most of you know my b-day is March 28 and how last year I wanted their album the day it came out but I couldn't get it because 1. I was hella broke and 2. It was too close to my b-day. But now..... It's after my b-day. How awesome is that? Anyway, I'm pretty sure most of you don't care about my obsession with Day26 and are probably counting how many times I've told that story (I think I'm on my 4th time already).
